We may not actually have a marching band, but News & Views is throwing a mini-parade for our two AACVPR Affirmations honorees this quarter.

Readers, please put your hands together for Dr. Eileen Collins, PhD, RN, FAACVPR, FAAN, ATSF. For DEAN Collins, that is! She has been newly elevated to that distinguished position at the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Nursing. Our congratulations go out to Collins, who is recognized for her research on improving physical function and quality of life through cardiovascular and pulmonary interventions.

Meanwhile, we would like to thank Phil Porte for his 25 years of partnership with AACVPR as a legislative advocate. We wish him a healthy and happy retirement! If you would like to personally congratulate Phil, feel free to contact him at philporte7519@gmail.com.
