You may have heard a new name – Kathy Sullivan -- popping up around the AACVPR “water cooler” lately. In case you’re wondering, Sullivan joined the organization as Operations Manager this past June. Her responsibilities as such are multi-faceted and include providing overall financial management, offering support to the Board of Directors, managing the Membership and Affiliate Relations Committee, overseeing volunteer recruitment, and collaborating with the rest of the AACVPR team to ensure a high level of customer service and quality.
Sullivan hit the ground running and has been impressed with AACVPR on several fronts already. “I was amazed to see how many different programs the association offers – between the Registry, Certification, lobbying efforts to improve reimbursement policies as well as a dozen other programs,” she admits. Equally exciting to her is the organization’s commitment to learning. “We offer so many educational opportunities that help our members to be able to grow and succeed in their jobs – including webcasts, access to AACVPR Central, the JCRP and discounts to our Annual Meeting,” she says.
Sullivan also expresses what she believes is the best part of working with the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation community: the passion and commitment they show to really improving the lives of their patients.
