Celebrate. Educate. February is well known as “heart month.” Those associated with Cardiac Rehabilitation celebrate the success of the patients and programs but also take the opportunity to highlight and increase awareness of the prevalence of heart disease.
Although the general population connect February to Valentine’s Day, statistics show that heart disease is still the leading cause of death amount both men and women.
Cardiac Rehabilitation meets these statistics head on, in both recovery and prevention. Lifestyle changes globally embrace activity, nutrition and psychosocial, to help decrease the risk for complications. Through partnering with AACVPR and our state affiliates, we have the opportunity to provide up-to-date information and tools for optimal outcomes.
Take this opportunity to showcase what we do. I hope you had a happy Cardiac Rehab week!
