Spring is finally near, and I think everyone is excited for the change of season.
Don’t miss out on this month’s exciting lineup of content:
- A tribute to the life of Glen Porter
- Strategies and importance of helping patients feel better
- Program certification update and instructions on how to complete the mandatory Annual Report for all programs that are presently certified
- Understanding the significance of gender differences in COPD patients
Most of the Affiliate Society meetings are held in March, April and May, giving everyone the opportunity to network with peers and experts in the field and learn about the new cardiopulmonary advancements. I challenge each of you to take at least one thing back from these meetings, put them to practice in your program, and share the information with your staff, medical director and administration. It is the patient’s right and our responsibility to provide the best, up-to-date, evidence-based care possible.
The Affiliate meetings are a great resource, but if you are unable to attend, AACVPR has a multitude of tools and material via the website, News and Views and educational webcasts — just to name a few. There are so many new developments on the horizon, which makes it even more important that you stay on top of things.
It is definitely an exciting time to be in cardiac and pulmonary rehab!
