More than three weary years after the Department of Health and Human Services conferred the status, the Biden administration has officially lifted the COVID-19 public health emergency. The end of the declaration also signals the termination of many pandemic-era policies and practices, including the hotly contested mask mandate.
Within the cardiopulmonary rehab community, however, the question of whether to continue wearing face coverings in clinical settings doesn’t appear to be much of a debate at all.
