The 2019 Program Certification Application Submission has once again come to an end. The 2019 application window opened on Dec. 1, 2018, and closed Feb. 28, 2019. This year, AACVPR received 667 applications, which was an increase of 19 applications from the 2018 Application cycle.
The Program Certification Leadership added three new reviewers to the Program Certification Review team. Please give a big welcome to Jolene Stackis, Molly Wainstock and Shawn Leth. With the departure of retiring David Charters and Barbara Flato, both who have given years of service to the certification process, we now have 42 Program Certification Reviewers, representing 26 states!
As a reminder, the applications are entering into the initial review phase, which will last until mid-May, followed by the chair review phase, which will take place June through July. There will be no contact with programs until the release of the initial results in August 2019.
The 2020 Annual Report will be released on March 18, 2019, and will close on July 15, 2019.
The Annual Report will help ensure each program certified through AACVPR has up-to-date information and the tools needed to maintain the current standards required for certification.
The Annual Report process is required for several reasons, including:
- To attest to continued compliance with all AACVPR Program Certification requirements
- To keep AACVPR-certified programs continually aware of the current Program Certification application requirements
- To provide organizations the opportunity to update demographic and contact information prior to the actual application period. By maintaining current information, AACVPR will be able to communicate effectively with your organization about Program Certification.
The implementation of the Annual Report will affect all programs that are not applying for certification/recertification in 2019. This requirement does not have any cost, but is a mandatory component to remain certified.
To access the application portal, make sure you are signed in to your AACVPR account and click the "My Programs" button on the top of the page. Once in "My Programs," click into your facility's application.
